A document with two signers has two sets of fields. If both people see every box, each one is asked to fill lines that belong to the other, or they skip a field because it was not obvious whose it was.
Add recipients and assign fields to each person. A signature, a date, or a text field belongs to a recipient. When that person opens the document, they see the fields that are theirs.
Someone only sees the fields that belong to them. The other party's fields are not part of their pass. They fill and sign what was assigned, and the document keeps the rest for the person who owns those fields.
The assignment is made when the document is prepared, so the signing step does not ask anyone to sort out whose box is whose.
