People sign in different ways. Some draw. Some type their name, especially on a phone where a drawn signature is hard to read. And almost nobody wants to make a new signature for every document.
Sign by drawing on the pad, or by typing your name. Both produce a signature on the document. The typed name is a signature, not a placeholder for a drawing you add later.
A signature you save can be used again on the next document. The next request can apply the saved signature instead of starting from an empty pad. You still adopt it for that document. You do not have to recreate it.
Draw, type, or reuse. The document gets a signature either way, and the second document does not have to begin from scratch.
