A signing link used to stay open for as long as the request did. That is fine for a document with no deadline. It is a problem for an offer, a quote, or any agreement that should stop being signable after a date.
A signing link can now be given an expiration. You set the time when you create the link. After that time the link no longer opens the document.
The person who still has the old link sees that it has expired. They cannot sign a document whose window has closed. If the agreement should stay open, the link is sent without an expiration, the same as before.
