What this contract contains
Preamble and parties.In the creator you enter each party, pick whether you are the client or the consultant, and set the effective date. Names the engagement and each party as Client or Consultant. Choose your side in the creator.
Services and term.In the creator you describe the consulting work and choose whether it ends on completion, on a date, or stays ongoing. This is advisor work, not a generic services stack. Describes the advisory work and how long the engagement lasts.
Fees. Sets how the consultant is paid, with monthly invoices due in 30 days by default.
Independent contractor. States the consultant is not an employee and handles its own taxes and benefits.
Work product and confidentiality. Assigns paid work product to the client, keeps the consultant’s tools, and protects shared information.
Governing law.Governing law and venue decide which state’s rules apply and where a dispute must be filed, or whether it goes to arbitration instead. In the creator you pick a listed jurisdiction or enter another, then choose court or arbitration so the sample is not locked to a default state. Sets the state law that governs the consulting agreement and where disputes must be brought. Choose the jurisdiction in the creator.
General. Covers assignment limits, waiver rules, severability, entire agreement language, notices, and counterpart or electronic-signature execution language.
Signature blocks. Authorized signatory and title lines for each party, ready for wet-ink or e-signature fields.
