What this contract contains
Preamble and parties.In the creator you enter each party, pick whether you are the employer or the employee, and set the effective date. Names the employment and each party as Employer or Employee. Choose your side in the creator.
Position.In the creator you type the role in plain English so the contract matches the offer. States the job title and that the employee will perform that role and related duties.
Term and compensation.You choose at-will or a set term and type compensation. Bonus or equity stays discretionary unless a separate writing says otherwise. Sets at-will or a fixed term, and how the employee is paid.
Confidentiality and IP. Protects employer information and assigns work product created on the job.
Return of property. Requires employer property and confidential materials back on the last day.
Governing law.Governing law and venue decide which state’s rules apply and where a dispute must be filed, or whether it goes to arbitration instead. In the creator you pick a listed jurisdiction or enter another, then choose court or arbitration so the sample is not locked to a default state. Sets the state law that governs the employment agreement and where disputes must be brought. Choose the jurisdiction in the creator.
